I don’t know anything about these programs. I suppose a program that is not considered malware could have a virus attached to it in some way so that it is not obviously malware but so that the attached part cold do harm. Though I do not know of this happening. And I can’t imagine an AV program discovering such a program unless it ‘knew’ to look for programs to which that has happened. It would take a pretty sophisticated AV program to find such a thing. I’m thinking that the algorithm would go: ‘Find program name such and such, then look at it’s size’. Increased size could suggest added code, sort of like a tumorous growth. Yes, it IS a stretch, but I can’t think of any other way to find such malware. That’s probably one of many reasons that I don’t write anti malware software, one of MANY reasons. :-) !!!
